“Hummingbird”

“Hummingbird” is the first collage where I had the honor of sharing the personal story of another and is a tribute to a marriage that spanned more than half a century. It represents a lifetime of shared memories and healing from the grief of loss. My client sent me keepsakes of their own, some vintage and fragile in nature, to authentically imbue the piece with meaning. The sacred repurposing of treasures exemplified the truth that through art and memory, no one is ever truly gone.
