What is an embellished print collage?
High-quality giclee print reproductions of original images are transformed into singular works, using collage elements such as cut paper and fabric.
The collage elements are selected with great care to keep the patterns, colors and textures consistent with the look and feel of the original. Collage elements can also boldly take the original image in a completely new direction. Some images and sizes lend themselves to embellishment more than others and occasionally the mark of the artist is present.
The overall visual effect is seamless and engages the viewer in identifying which components have been added by hints such as a raised texture or glint of metallic. What is the process for commissioned works?
Commissioned works are an opportunity to share your story. Clients may request an image or propose an idea and provide their own memorabilia and mementos as raw materials. Drawing inspiration and a design sensibility from the client, I will supplement the project with my own materials. This collaboration yields a personalized, original work imbued with individual significance for the client and/or recipient. It can be a meaningful way to pay tribute to a relationship or milestone event. Simultaneously, it can be a fresh way to honor your ephemera and collected treasures as a unique piece of art in your space. What is your processing time and shipping policy?
As the artist and sole proprietor of Eleftheria Easley Creative Expressions, I create all original artwork, commissioned artwork and embellished print collages by hand. I include a personalized envelope of documents with each piece of work, to include print reproductions, before I package and prepare it for shipment. Please allow time for each piece to be given individual attention as I am operating a solo boutique studio. Most items will ship within a 2-4 week turnaround. Out of stock prints may require additional time for the printing process. Some works such as commissions require additional time for sketching, creating, photographing and documenting the work. Please allow additional time around the holidays and contact me directly if you have a specific date you need an item before making your purchase. Every effort is made to ensure a timely turnaround.
Shipping and Handling is flat rate fee based upon the size of the item. Most items will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, insured to the value of the piece(s). Exceptions include some original works, works on canvas or oversize works, which require specialized shipping through the UPS Store and will be calculated individually.
